Dr. Parul Desai
Dr. Desai is a board certified Vitreoretinal eye surgeon. A 1984 graduate of Government Medical School in Surat, India, she completed her internship and residency in ophthalmology and fellowship in vitreoretinal diseases in India, working as head of the Vitreoretinal Department for three years at Rotary-sponsored Eye Hospital.
She served her internship after moving to the United States in Livingston, NJ at St. Barnabas Medical Center. Her residency in internal medicine was completed at the Bronx V.A. Hospital. Dr. Desai accomplished her fellowship at the Vitreoretinal Foundation in Memphis, TN and residency in ophthalmology at Interfaith Medical Center in affiliation with Down State University in Brooklyn, NY.
She has received medical licenses in New York, Tennessee, Mississippi and Texas. Dr. Desai is Affiliated with the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association, All India Ophthalmology Society and All India Glaucoma Society.
Dr. Renee Clark, OD
Dr. Renee Clark was born in Detroit, Michigan and attended Ferris State University, majoring in Biology. She completed her professional degree in Optometry at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Davie, Florida in 2012. She then completed a residency in Miami, Florida, focusing on ocular disease at world renown eye hospital, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. Dr. Clark now has over 10 years of experience in her field. She holds an optometric glaucoma specialist license in the state of Texas. Her interests are glaucoma, dry eyes, cataracts, and diabetic eye care. Dr. Clark enjoys helping patients feel and see their best.
Dr. Clark resides in McAllen, Texas, and enjoys life with her husband and three children. Dr. Clark is also fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Cebele Saporito
Cibele Saporito was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She attended Brigham Young University making the Dean’s list and obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She is a fluent Portuguese and Spanish speaker and during her time at the university also obtained a Masters Certificate in English as a second language. Dr. Saporito then transferred to The Ohio State University College of Optometry and obtained her Doctor of Optometry Degree where she graduated with honors and part of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society.
In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities, traveling to new places to meet new people, and learning about new cultures. She is a passionate painter and loves to create ceramics. Dr. Saporito has lived in McAllen with her loving husband for five years and loves it there. They have 7 children and 4 grandchildren and spend as much time as possible with them when they visit.
